What is the difference between planetary reducer and gear reducer?

Difference between planetary reducer and gear reducer:

1、 The planetary gear reducer is composed of one sun wheel and one or more sets of planetary gears (one set is three). The planetary gear reducer can maintain high accuracy during operation. Compared with its output torque, the volume of planetary reducer is very small.

The single section of the planetary reducer can be 1/10. Through modular design, the speed ratio of the planetary reducer can reach 1000, or even more than 1000.

However, due to its material accuracy and meticulous processing method, the cost of planetary reducer is much higher than that of gear reducer.

2、 The gear reducer can be 1/200 in a single section, and can achieve a higher speed ratio of 1/2000 through modular installation. This reducer has stable operation, low noise and low market price. Gear reducers are mostly used for various low-load assembly lines.

Compared with the planetary gear reducer, the gear reducer can not improve the accuracy at all, and the torque is more unlikely to reach the height of the planetary gear reducer. So as long as there are accuracy requirements or torque requirements, in many cases, planetary reducer is generally used instead of gear reducer.
